Ombu Salon Edmonds

Fitting in with the charm of Edmonds, Ombu Salon moved to a new location in an quaint home in downtown Edmonds.  The salon owner purchased the existing single family home with plans to fully remodel and convert the home to the new space for Ombu Salon.  The project entailed converting the existing single family home into a commercial space for the new salon and spa.  The existing property had a single story home with basement and a detached garage.  H2D worked with the owner to design an addition to connect the existing home to the detached garage to create a multi-floor, multi-zoned space for the various services the salon offers.  The main space (original kitchen, living room and bedrooms) was fully reconfigured to create an open plan for the hair cutting stations, shampoo and color area, retail space, and several spa rooms.  The new addition and original detached garage were converted into a sitting area, bathroom, and quiet spa rooms. The design for the project focused on creating a warm and welcoming space for Ombu’s clients to visit, as well as to retain the original charm of the home in the design for the new salon and spa.
