Meet Our Team, Cristy

Cristy Weller

Architectural Designer
+ Project Manager

  • What's your role at H2D? How long have you been with the company?

    • Architectural Designer and Project Manager. I've been with H2D for almost 3 years.

  • What inspired you to pursue a career in architecture and/or interior design?

    •  I grew up in a family of readers, but I was the kid that loved to draw and color and build things with blocks. My Dad was an architect, and I knew from a young age that I wanted to follow in his footsteps.

  • What's your go-to design style or inspiration?

    • I am inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and designs that connect living spaces with the outdoors... large windows, lots of light, natural wood elements.

  • What's one thing you'd like clients to know about the design process?

    •  The spaces we create are very personal to each client. Each design project is unique and brings its own set of challenges. I think it's important to keep an open mind throughout the process as we explore different design options and consider the different possibilities.

  • If you could instantly learn any skill, what would it be?

    • Play the piano

  • What's your favorite place you've traveled to?

    • Sun Valley, Idaho. The skiing on cold, sunny days in the winter is amazing, and the heavy timber mountain lodges are breathtaking!

  • What's your favorite season? And why?

    • My favorite season is Fall. The colors are dramatic and beautiful, the air is cooler and I love to work in the yard, and — football!

  • What's one trend in design you'd love to see a comeback?

    • Large roof overhangs. They connect us with the outdoors, protect us from all the Pacific Northwest rain and just look really smart.

  • If you were a superhero, my superpower would be ____________________.

    • Teleportation. Instantaneous travel from one location to another? Yes, please! Think of the time savings!
