This new custom 5800 sf three story home is designed for a sloping site in the Innis Arden neighborhood of Shoreline, WA. The site posed several challenges for the design and permitting process with the steep slope and landslide hazard. The house was carefully sited to work with the slope of the site. The lower floor is a daylight basement designed with bedrooms, golf simulator room, theater room, exercise area, and entertainment room connected with large doors out to a sprawling patio. The outdoor living area at this level is laid out with a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, and covered entertaining area all with sweeping views of the Puget Sound. The main floor of the home is designed as an open living area with large kitchen, dining, and living spaces spilling out to an outdoor patio overlooking the pool and Puget Sound beyond. In addition, the main floor is designed with a butler’s pantry, mudroom, and attached garage. The attached garage is equipped with two car lifts that lower down to a basement level car storage area. The primary suite, bedrooms, and private areas are situated at the upper level each with a view of the water.
