Lake Sammamish Addition

This property sits on Lake Sammamish in the City of Bellevue.  The property is split by a private access road dividing the property into two sections – one section contains the existing home and one section is unbuilt with a steep slope.  The owners had a vision to add an addition on to the existing home for additional and entertaining space with views out to the lake. H2D worked with the owners to design a large three story addition including an underground storage area, new bathroom, living spaces, and new recreation spaces.  The design also included developing a portion of the steep slope area with new access stairs and a large retaining wall to accommodate additional parking, which is currently very limited for this property.  Due to the critical areas on the site, an extensive and complicated Land Use review and permitting process was required for the project.

The construction of the new retaining wall and stair system on the steep slope section of the lot has begun as Phase One of the project.
