Whidbey Family Camp

The owner of this 45 acre Whidbey Island parcel had a vision to build a small footprint family camp on a portion of the property.  The design included a main cabin designed with kitchen, great room, laundry, bathroom, two bedrooms, and open loft area.  The main cabin was designed to serve as the main gathering area for all the family and guests at the family camp.  Two additional cabins were designed each containing only two bedrooms, bathroom, and small entry area.  The small cabins were intended for family and guests to retreat back to their bedroom cabins for rest and quiet time, but to encourage social gathering to occur in the main cabin or the outdoor gathering spaces.  A portion of the property was cleared for the cluster of cabins and future outbuildings to be circling around a main outdoor gathering area with patio and firepit.
