Woodinville Interior Remodel

Design Goals: The interior remodel of this Woodinville home focused on updating the most frequently used spaces—reimagining the kitchen, updating multiple bathrooms, and introducing cohesive upgrades throughout the home. H2D Architecture + Design partnered closely with the homeowners to create a refined, timeless interior that balances clarity, warmth, and durability. At the heart of the project, the kitchen was redesigned to improve both functionality and flow, with a more efficient layout, increased storage, and upgraded appliances. Clean-lined cabinetry, thoughtfully integrated details, and a balanced mix of materials establish a crisp yet inviting aesthetic that anchors the main living spaces. The bathrooms were similarly transformed, incorporating updated fixtures, tile, and cabinetry to create spaces that feel both fresh and enduring. Each bathroom was approached with consistency in mind while allowing for subtle variation in material and tone to give each space its own identity. Throughout the home, general interior updates—including new finishes, lighting, and detailing—tie the spaces together into a cohesive whole.

Design Challenges + Site Constraints: A key challenge of the project was maximizing functionality within the constraints of the existing footprint. Every design decision required a high level of precision and attention to detail, focusing on how even the smallest adjustments could improve usability and flow. The approach centered on making the most of every inch—integrating efficient storage solutions, refining layouts, and incorporating built-in elements to reduce wasted space. Existing conditions often dictated creative problem-solving, requiring thoughtful coordination of cabinetry, millwork, and spatial planning to ensure that each area served multiple purposes without feeling crowded.
