This year marks an exciting milestone for H2D Architecture + Design: 20 years in business. Over the past two decades, we have had the privilege of working with homeowners to bring their visions to life through thoughtful, personalized residential architecture and design. From custom new homes to a vast array of remodels and additions, every project has been an opportunity to create spaces that reflect the people who live in them.

Since the beginning, sustainability has remained a core value of H2D’s work. We believe that good design should not only serve our clients today but also consider homeowners’ ability to age in place, the building's long-term environmental impacts, energy efficiency, and the lasting quality of the homes we create. As building practices and technologies have evolved, we've continually adapted and refined how we design for beauty and sustainability.

One of the things we value most about our residential design practice is the diversity of styles and personalities each project brings. Over the last 20 years, our portfolio has grown to include a wide range of architectural styles—from clean-lined modern homes to timeless Craftsman remodels, contemporary additions, Northwest-inspired residences, and everything in between. We enjoy the creative challenge of tailoring each design to the site, the home, and the unique vision of every client.

Our work has taken us throughout Western Washington, allowing us to collaborate on projects in urban neighborhoods, waterfront properties, wooded lots, and suburban areas. In recent years, we have also been excited to expand our work into Oregon and California, bringing H2D’s collaborative and client-focused design approach to new regions.

As we reflect on the past 20 years, we are incredibly grateful to the homeowners, builders, consultants, and collaborators who have trusted us along the way. Many of our projects have come through longtime relationships and referrals, which makes this milestone especially meaningful.

Architecture and design is ultimately about people and the way spaces shape everyday life. We are proud of the spaces we have helped to create and honored to have been part of so many families’ stories over the years.
